Indulge Yourself

My name is Lauren and I'm 16 years old.
I absoloutely love to bake and I hope to share some of my favorite recipes and tips with you for making the perfect desserts.

The Weigh In.

1. Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies:

They are incredible. Honestly I have never had a better peanut butter cookie. They are perfectly peanut buttery and had a perfect balance of salty and sweet. I altered the recipe by using regular creamy Jiff peanut butter instead of natural but I think it did the trick just fine.

2. Dump Cake:

Although the name and its look doesnt look all that great it was suprisingly good. It reminds me of a crumble, basically it was like having a cherry/pineapple crumb. The only thing I would suggest, which wasnt in the directions, is use a non-moist cake mix. The one we purchased was a super moist cake, which was great but my mom told me that it would have been more cake like then a crumble if you use the non-moist regular cake.

Overview,

overall both recipes where great and definatly worth making :D

hipsterfood:

vegan oreo milkshake
before anyone else asks, YES, oreos are vegan! (just make sure to double check your labels!)
1 chopped frozen banana
1.5-2 cups almond milk (or any other non-dairy milk)
1/2 can (7 oz.) lite coconut milk, chilled (the canned kind, not the kind in a carton)
5 frozen oreo cookies (or whichever chocolate/creme sandwich cookie you like)
blend until milkshake consistency. start out with the 1.5 cups milk and add in until it’s however thick you like. even though it doesn’t produce a large amount of drink, it serves 2-3 people. it’s a pretty decadent milkshake :p
enjoy and keep cool!

The Alternative

A great way to make a sweet treat at the end of the night as an alternate to icecream or icepops, is frozen yogurt. Taking normal yogurt from the dairy section, any flavor, and just pop it in the freezer and give it a couple hours to freeze. Not only is it healthier but its in its own single person serving.
